Direct Support Professional ($500 Signing Bonus)

Department: Program Operations
Location: Nashville, TN

Bonus Provisions: Support Solutions obligates to pay a $500.00 bonus. Applicants must accept and maintain at minimum part time employment to be eligible for the bonus and, for purposes of the bonus, may not be hired as PRN or enter PRN status until they have worked 780 hours. An employee must work 30 days and be paid for 130 hours work to be eligible for the bonus payout.

GENERAL FUNCTION:

The position involves providing support to individuals with disabilities as they develop and maintain skills that enhance the quality of their lives in the community.

  • Supports the individual with personal care and daily routines, and in achieving outcomes from the Individual Support Plan.
  • Helps supported person become integrated with the community by ensuring that they are included, respected, valued and have a variety of preferred relationships in the community of their choice.
  • Performs daily activities or teaches service recipients to do so, such as activities of daily living skills and other personal skills that work toward achieving independence.

MINIIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 18 years of age and able to read and write effectively.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record throughout employment with SSTN.
  • Must pass drug test
  • Must meet state and local requirements regarding criminal background check, sexual offender check, abuse registry, and felony offender list. Must meet all training requirements and keep training current.
  • Must be able to perform heavy lifting in the assistance of service recipients with personal care, if applicable. Must have some computer knowledge.
